Crisp autumn leaves turning vibrant shades of yellow, red, and gold. Apple pie. Pumpkin patches. Corn mazes. Even pumpkin spice lattes. Anything and everything Fall makes me so happy. I love this time of year. Everything Instagram and Pinterest markets as being “Fall” I tend to gobble up. Boots are finally out of the closet as well as vests and flannels. Sometimes I feel like a giddy kid running around in the leaves, even looking for a pretty shot to take a picture of the foliage.
Im not sure what it is that I like most about Fall. Maybe it is the culture, the outside weather change signalling it’s time to bundle up and stay warm. Maybe it’s the changing of leaves, the change of landscape, changing ones perspective of what is seen in nature.
But I can’t help but think that in the end, it’s the big time of year when we all appreciate change. It’s a good change, the changing of times!
So…in my typical fall fashion…here are some lovely shots of the Fall foliage over the past few weeks both near Mt. Evans in Colorado as well as Decorah, Iowa. I feel pretty privileged to have seen so many beautiful aspects of this season in multiple states! (And nothing quite says Fall like some pretty leaf changing colors!)
Happy Fall y’all!
