There’s something so pure and whole about sunsets and the beautiful picture it leaves.
As a kid, I used to sit on the swing in our front yard and watch the sun set. I loved the way the light flickered over the grass and the leaves above my head. It may sound a bit silly, but I loved reflecting even then and thinking about the summer laid out before me.
So, in true fashion, when my friend Connor was in town, we spent an evening chasing the sun and trying to find just the right light to photograph.
Well, we ended up finding the perfect light and literally went skipping down trails in the mountains to watch the sunset. Connor’s pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous!!
Colorado is certainly a place that never fails to amaze me. Every sunset is different and the mountains never look the same from day to day. I am grateful to call this state home!
Keep Close to nature’s heart…and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean. – John Muir
