I am so thrilled…because its summer break! (Although it may not be officially, at least school is done, marking in my book, the beginning of summertime.)
Here come the barbecues, time at the pool, time outside, running, sleeping in, reading, the list goes on…
This summer has been full of books (more on that to come), hiking, and yard work.
In classic Colorado fashion, the rain has come in torrents in the afternoons, leaving lawns quite green.
But that couldn’t dampen a lovely CO afternoon hike!
If you are in the Denver Metro Area at all this summer, I would recommend taking a quick trip to Roxborough State Park for a quikie day hike. The views are great, trails are easy-moderate in difficulty and the park is family friendly.
It was certainly a great start to the summer!
