I’m sure I’m not the only one who is quoting Meryl Streep today, “Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking.” However, it’s so true! It’s finally Spring!! This time of year definitely seems to be flying by, and I’m really looking forward to Spring Break next week and a trip to the beach!
With Spring, I love thinking about the new start that awaits. It makes me want to throw open the windows and clean out the closets. I’m definitely a person who delights in organizing and cleaning, so for me, it’s more of an excuse to get rid of the old and organize even more.
Besides organizing and doing the traditional round of Spring Cleaning, Spring is definitely a time for renewal. Since it is the Lenten season on the church calendar, or the time before Easter, this time of year is often known as a time for reflection. I’ve always liked this idea of taking time to reflect, pray and converse with others about matters of faith. I’ve always had many questions which have stumped me about faith and religion, and I appreciate the opportunity of mentorship through our curch to talk about various aspects of faith with others. In a way, by being able to talk about faith has been a pretty wonderful way of renewal.
Whether you take time for talking about matters of faith, or just about important things in your heart, I hope you get some time to feel renewed. Maybe that means talking to a friend or praying or singing or even just taking time for yourself, hopefully the change in season will help you to feel refreshed.
What’s something you do to feel renewed this Spring Season?
