Travel Bug + First VLOG!!

February 22, 2017

This weekend was so glorious! Spending time with friends in the Twin Cities and drinking up the sunshine which seemed to spill forth was soul-refreshing. I always love weekends spent with the crew. They are full of laughter and endless amounts of activity. This weekend was no different!

I even did something totally out of my comfort zone…I created a VLOG!!! I have been inspired by so many of the Vlogs I’ve watched recently, so I figured, “why not?!” All weekend I took video footage instead of pictures with the hopes of creating something out of it. Despite the weird phone-quality clips, I think it captured the weekend pretty well!

I’m hoping to create a few more Vlogs in the future. In the meantime, I’m still enjoying reliving the simple moments of this trip and the adventures that were shared! You can see the VLOG here or hereย (On my Facebook Page).

Besides lots and lots of walking, we ate…SO MUCH GOOD FOOD. I quickly became the annoying person who took pictures of our meals before eating them…guilty. But it was seriously so good.

Hi-Lo Diner has the most scrumptious food. It was the perfect 9pm post sushi meal. Above is a Fried Doughnut with friend chicken and a maple syrup glaze on it. Probably one of the most scrumptious meals I’ve ever had. It was so filling and sweet…let’s just say I couldn’t really finish it. Below is the Girls Scouts Somoa Shake.ย This was absolutely heavenly. Yes, the meal was all sugar, but it was so. stinkin. good. 10/10 would recommend.

Also, this was my first ice cream picture of 2017! In 2016, I vowed to eat more ice cream. It was a perfect way to kick-start 2017 ice cream pictures!

So looking forward to the next time we’re all together!

  • I love your vlog! They are so much fun to make. I wanna make some more this year. Also, I am totally that person who takes waaay too many pictures of their food before eating it!

    • So happy you enjoyed it!! Thank you, Megan!! Haha, I take wayyyyy too many food pictures. I could probably do multiple posts on food pictures solely.

  • I love your vlog, Caitlin!! Vlogs are one thing I promised myself I’d start making this year, but it’s still a bit daunting. Also, I love that you went to Lowertown! I used to work in the neighborhood and miss it a lot. Keep it up! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you so much, Maja!! We stopped at Hi-Lo and Connor was telling me all about the old Taco Bell there. ๐Ÿ™
Also, Vlogs are so fun! I just used my phone but it worked out pretty well. Next time I think I’ll use a camera. ๐Ÿ™‚
