Weekend Snapshots + North Dakota Trip

November 21, 2016

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Last week certainly flew and was much busier than I had expected. Thus, I was unable to blog as much as I wanted to. However, even though this is a week late, I still wanted to share some Weekend Snapshots from our short trip to North Dakota to visit my brother!

It was a perfect weekend to go! Really nice weather (60 degrees), smooth flying, and wonderful reunions.

In case you are new to LemonadePress, (in that case, Welcome!), I attended college in the Mid-west at Luther College, and my brother followed suit in the Midwest, choosing to attend in North Dakota.

So, no matter what, we always have a reason to fly back to the MidWest from Colorado!

The plane ride there was so smooth. I love flying in airplanes and getting a greater perspective of just how small we actually are and how big this Earth is. A pretty humbling experience.

The University of North Dakota is a very pretty campus in Grand Forks, ND. We really enjoyed walking around campus and seeing where my brother has each of his classes.

Because UND is so far North, the sun went down a lot faster than we were expecting!

That weekend, UND Men’s Hockey was playing DU Men’s Hockey in Grand Forks. We weren’t able to get tickets for the game but were able to watch it at Rhombus Guy’s Brewery in town that evening.

Hockey is HUGE in Grand Forks. So, when the team won the Championship title last year, the fanfare was far and widespread. Their home stadium in Grand Forks is absolutely gorgeous making other stadiums pale in comparison to The Ralph. If you ever get a chance to go to a game here, I would highly recommend it!

The rest of the weekend was filled with family time and time spent around Grand Forks.

A pretty spectacular weekend!

This week, as we draw near to Thanksgiving, I am thankful for my brother and the time we are able to spend with each other and as a family.

I hope you had a wonderful start to your Thanksgiving week! This week, I will be sharing a post each day about something to be Thankful for. Make sure you check back each day for the new post!
