What I’ve Loved This Week

December 3, 2016

I am SO happy it’s the weekend! The week following Thanksgiving seemed especially long, perhaps that turkey coma lasted longer than we all had thought…

This week I was sick for a short while and as a result, things were definitely pushed off. I’m finding that sometimes it is okay to push things off in order to take care of yourself. So as a result, this weekend may be packed with catching up, but I think sleeping in will be in order!

Here’s Your Weekend List for: What I’ve Loved This Week:

1// My current Christmas Book is The Mistletoe Secret by Richard Paul Evans.

Last year I read his book, The Mistletoe Promise and absolutely loved it. So this year when I saw his new title at Target I snatched it up. There will be a post up soon of some of my favorite Christmas titles, but for now, these are the top of my list!

2// #Ham4Ham

The new #HamiltonMixTape is out! If you haven’t listened to the new Mixes produced by various music artists, you should check them out! I’m still on the lookout for when Ham comes to Denver next season, and continue to listen to the original Hamilton Soundtrack on my way to and from work!

3// Worried by this new Instagram Algorithm

If you are one of the many IG users who have discovered the new IG Algorithm is making you lose engagement, then you’re not alone. It turns out many users are purchasing likes. This for me seems very immoral. Why would you want to buy random likes and not have a genuine liker base? I’m not sure your thoughts on this entire issue, but you can read more about it here.

4// Phone Photography Class

Brit + Co recently launched a new series from Helene Sula from Helene in Between on how to take professional photos using your phone. As someone who takes far too many photos on my phone and often has to clear them off, seek alternative storage, etc., this class has been wonderful to learn from!

5// Continued Christmas Sales

Last week’s Cyber Monday and Black Friday turned out successful here for me, and I’m almost done with my Christmas shopping! However, there are still some illusive gifts I’m trying to find. Anyone else in the same boat? For those of you who are like me, here are some great sales still going on: Amazon’s Year-End Deals, J. Crew Factory has an extra 40% off sale items, American Eagle has 40-50% off gifts this weekend, Target still has great Cyber Week deals going on, and Old Navy has up to 50% off on Holiday looks.

Have a wonderful Saturday!
