What I’ve Loved This Week

January 15, 2017

1 // Jackie the Movie

I have absolutely LOVED the movie, Jackie. I loved it so much I saw it twice in theatres over the course of two days! In middle school I started studying the Kennedy family for a school project and since then I’ve loved reading and watching anything about the family. We even stopped at the JFK museum this past summer in Hyannis Port, hence the picture. (eek!) Natalie Portman did a wonderful job playing the former First Lady and the acting and cinematography together made for an incredibly powerful film. I took R with me the second time, and as he isn’t the biggest JFK + Jackie officianado he did say it was a bit slow, but he enjoyed it as well. (I may have cried a bit…)

2 // The Bachelor + Bachelor Fantasy League

In college, it was always tradition every Monday night to sit as a group and watch The Bachelor. This tradition has been able to continue even though we are all spread out throughout the country all through the Bachelor Fantasy League. One of my friends set up our team, and since then we have been watching the show and playing the game each week! For each question you answer correctly before the show, you get points. The goal is to have the most points by the end of the season! Anyone else participating in this??

3 // Sasha Obama was absent from her father’s speech this week…but why?

I don’t think I was the only one wondering where Sasha Obama was at her father’s Farewell address this past week, and it turns out, she had a pretty reasonable excuse. As a teacher, this makes me happy to hear how important her education is to her family!
