Getting up and making a smoothie each morning has been a part of my morning routine for the past few years. There’s just something about a sweet smoothie that fills you up and makes you feel like you have a great jump-start on your day. I’m always amazed at how much frozen fruit I go through on a weekly basis because of my smoothie habit, but I can’t complain too much! During online teaching I would make one each morning to pair with my London Fog!
During the school year, I would mix up my smoothie the night before and keep it in the fridge overnight so I could just grab it and go on my way out the door. It made heading out the door in the morning a breeze since I didn’t have to worry about making breakfast. While I’ve been experimenting with different ingredients over the years, I ended up arriving at this particular recipe and I’ve loved it.
I figured I’d share my favorite smoothie recipe I’ve made, in case you’re interested in making your own!
Mixed Berry Smoothie
Mix together in a blender:
- 1 cup of mixed berry blend of frozen fruit (I prefer the mix that includes blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries)
- 1 cup of non-fat milk
- 1 fresh banana
- 1 tbsp of PB2 powder (or replace with regular peanut butter)
- 1 cup of non-fat or vanilla yogurt
That’s it! It’s been simple, refreshing, and the tastiest start to my day. Are you a smoothie person? If so, what do you add to your smoothie?

Yum! Smoothies are a go to lunch for me lately! They are the perfect way to fill up without a hot meal. Plus pulverized spinach is the only way I like to eat it, haha.
