Hey there friend.
It’s been a while since I popped onto this part of the internet. This is not the first time I’ve typed up this blog post-my hesitancy prolongs the fact that I’m not quite ready for this chapter to end. I continued to pay the background of hosting services when the emails came through, not quite ready to part with this space of the internet that has been mine for the last seven (!!) years. Lemonade Press Blog has been my sweet space for reflection and compilation over the years. It’s been a place of joy and above all, it’s documented growth, courage, strength, and vulnerability that I didn’t know I had within me. Looking back on my very first blog post to more recent posts, this blog has been an escape and a joy to build. Not only have I learned more about photography, coding, marketing, and social media than I ever could have thought possible, but I’ve also learned a great deal about building connections online, communicating with companies and brands, and how to be vulnerable on a public platform.
And now, it is time to close this sweet chapter.
As much as I’ve loved living this life online, it’s time to live life offline and with the people around me. And while I’ve been doing this since I deleted my blog’s Instagram over a year ago, I’ve always had this nagging feeling I may come back to this space. While I had hoped things would turn over a new leaf, I’ve come to the realization that this is no longer for me.
And friends, I just wanted to say the biggest heartfelt thank you! Thank you for being there and for all of your support along this journey! It has been a joy to connect with so many of you and I am grateful for all the connections that have formed online. When I started this blog in 2015, I never could have guessed what this platform would come to mean! Thank you for following along and being a part of the community looking to make lemonade out of lemons. Lemonade Press Blog has been such a joy and I’m appreciative of all the comments and interactions, the family members who have read this blog since the beginning (thank you, thank you-I love ya!), and the friends who have been so supportive of this space. While thank you seems so simple compared to the gratitude I feel for you all, please know how big of an impact your support has made!
It’s hard to say goodbye to something that has come to mean so much. While I am not sure what the next chapter will look like, I am forever grateful for this sweet space and the lessons learned.
With thanks & gratitude,
Caitlin
